Good day today!! We visited Emerald Pool and a nearby hot spring which was oh-so-good.
We woke up at roughly 11am, local time, and headed down to the boys' room before going off for lunch. We walked along the beach for a little while looking for a place to eat. Based on what I saw on yourkrabi.com, The Longtail Boat and Ban Lay Seafood were both good choices because it was by the sea! Sadly, the area was (seemingly) under construction and so we had no choice but to look for food elsewhere.
In the end, we decided to eat at a restaurant which sign was that of the Harley Davidson sign! The fried rice I ordered was kinda horrible. The rice was cooked with too much water and the taste was just like the normal fried rice you would find in Singapore. Their pad thai, however, was quite tasty! Although it wasn't spicy, it did taste almost like the authentic pad thai. Every dish was about 100baht so I guess I shouldn't have expected much. It's rlly funny how good authentic thai food is so hard to come by here in krabi :/
After lunch, we took a taxi down to Emerald Pool! We walked a distance before finally arriving and to our dismay, it didn't look as good as we had expected it to! It wasn't a very sunny day today so that might be the reason why the pool didn't glister as much as it did in videos and photos seen previously. The entrance fee was 200baht/pax.
Next up, we headed down to the hot spring. We were all required to pay 90baht/pax and when we walked in, all our hearts sank when we saw this old, dirty 'hot stream'. WE WERE SO AFRAID WE PAID 90 FOR THAT HAHAHAHA.
Thankfully, we walked further in and saw what we really paid for. Although it doesn't look too enticing, the moment we stepped in, oh goooooodddd THE MONEY WAS SO WORTH IT!!! It was so relaxing and SHIOK. We took a whole shitload of photos but the fog made all the photos blur </3 Anyway, after what felt like half an hour, we decided to head back to the hotel.
Dinner was served to us at Thailandia. This place is opposite McDonalds, and has a really good ambiance. Apart from the small portion, the food wasn't too bad either. We order Cashew nut Chicken, Basil Beef, Sweet & Sour Squid and a Tom Yam Soup. I looooved the soup! It was the (mildly) creamy kind of tom yam soup and IT WAS SO GOOD. Upon paying the bill, we realised that it was only about 200baht/pax and we could've ordered more dishes!! But ohwell~
We were intending on trying the street food we spotted earlier along the road outside the restaurant but it started raining so we went to buy matching shirts instead! It was really cute hehe. We initially wanted to get jersey-style top of any print but everyone ended up getting the same Heineken design haha!
The boys went back to watch the World Cup and the girls and I went for a full body massage directly opposite the shop we bought our shirts from. We only paid 200/pax for normal thai massage and my mum paid 250 for aroma oil thai massage! Value for money *thumbs up* although it wasn't those high class kind of setting, the massage was not bad!
After the massage, we went to the family mart to grocery shop for some snacks to picnic at tomorrow when we do out island hopping!!! Yaaayy so excited~
Tomorrow's gonna be a fun day and i'm so exciteeeeddddd. Ciao!
