Japan

I'm not sure about you but every time I hear the words "Cherry Blossom", the only thing or place I can think of is Japan.

Jetted off to Japan only 3 days after I got back from my 14 day Thailand trip and I gotta say, as much as I enjoyed every bit of it, it is tiring - which might explain why I overslept almost everyday during my trip to Japan.

We didn't make it in time for a couple of attractions like Nishiki Market, Arashiyama (saddest part of my trip - see Day 3), Osaka Castle and The Instant Noodle Museum.

Although I did leave Japan with quite a couple of regrets, I still really enjoyed this trip because of the company and the unexpected adventures like on Day 1 when we had to go to the Koban (Small Neighborhood Police Station) because we got so lost in the attempt to find our apartment.

My trip to Japan wasn't spectacular nor was it the kind that'd make you get jealous about. However, it was a really special 7 days to me.

I went on this trip with my best buds from Polytechnic and as much as I hate to say this, this will probably be the last time we see each other more than twice a week. Soon, most of them will be in the army and (touch wood) we'll eventually lose contact. So I guess what I'm trying to say here is that these 7 days was, for me, my final chance to relive the Polytechnic days with them and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

(Guys, if you're seeing this, I love y'all :') )

Enough of the touchy-feely, let's get down to business!

The cost of the trip was about $1500 only because I was fortunate enough to get two-way flight tickets from Cathay Pacific for only $500. All our accommodations in Japan were AirBNB apartments which only added up to $230 and we spent roughly $700 there.
