Day 3 started off in a rush because our snorkeling trip was at 9am and we had to wake up early to catch breakfast. The breakfast buffet was pretty decent - nasi lemak, porridge, pancakes, cereal etc. I didn't have much in fear that I might puke if I got seasick so I just got myself a bowl of cereal.
Anyway, just like Day 2, we assembled at the jetty for the briefing which we were late for but tbh it didn't matter because we already knew how to snorkel. According to the divers that briefed us, morning snorkeling sessions are almost always at the same location - Marine Park, Redang. It's an island of it's own and I don't recall exactly how long the boat ride was but it wasn't as short as the one during our first trip.
We walked on to the further end of the beach to put our things before heading for the sea. The beach is filled with mostly tourists so it isn't too dangerous.
This is one of my favourite shots hehe look at the fish's face!! So cute
There were quite a number of parrot fishes swimming around but i couldn't get a good shot because they were always at the bottom near the corals :( after awhile we got bored and decided to go nearer to the bridge because we recalled seeing a lot of pretty fishes from above when we alighted from the boat! That was also where most of the people were so we presumed most of the fishes were there too.
WE WERE RIGHT!
This morning's snorkel was a lot better than the previous one partially because it was along the beach and we had a lot of space for ourselves. We were also allowed a lot of time to snorkel to the fullest and take enough photos till we were satisfied.
Got back to the hotel, rinsed myself with the poolside shower and spent some time at the pool. Both my mum and I decided not to bathe because we'd be getting wet again during the 3pm snorkel so we just dried ourselves, met up with the guys and headed for lunch!
The snorkeling at 3pm was really interesting because Sean spotted tons of sea anemones! I spent most of my time staring at the clown fishes swim in and out it was so cute I felt like I was watching real life finding nemo. The fishes here were also pretty different from the ones we saw in the past 2 trips.
Back at the resort, we wanted to explore the beach but exhausted and too comfortably tucked under the sheets, all of us ended up watching tv till dinner time. After dinner, we headed for the live band downstairs and grabbed 2 bowls of ice cream! The band was pretty decent but their song choices.... not so. Nevertheless we enjoyed the performance and headed up when they ended at 1145pm.
I went out to the balcony to read a little but it felt pretty eerie so I went back in haha. Although I never got a chance to do it, i presume it'd be nice to sit out there to read in the day.
Thanks for reading! x.
