It was a tiring(idk why) day yesterday. We took a 4 hour long plane to Kalibo before boarding the bus for a 2-3hour long ride to the jetty before taking a short boat ride which led to a (not so) short van ride to our resort.
Everything was fairly okay considering how i slept through it all haha! Was honestly expecting to be able to see something during the boat ride but sadly, no :( the sky here turned dark really early--about 530pm's their sunset.
Upon arrival at the resort, we headed up to our room and i really loved it! The view of the sea was AWESOME and it looked super comfy and lepak-able. There was like, a lepak corner HAHAHA. After settling down, we headed to the lounge to have our dinner. We were all STARRRVING! The food here...... made me sad. They said they were out of chicken, potato and calamari rings(!!?!!?!) so we had to get something else. Their carbonara and bacon & chilli were both too salty and my tomato and basil just tasted like normal tomato. But my dad's wrap was fairly alright. We all had a welcome drink each and I got myself a chocolate banana shake. It was good! I really liked it ^_^
After our meal, we hung around for a short while before heading back up to our room. Had a short bath and knocked out at about 11 before getting woken up at 3am due to the abundance of mozzie bites >;( sprayed the mozzie repellent like mad and went back to bed hehe. Despite the mozzies, this place is reaaaaally great(romantic too-i thought of my boyfriend the moment i saw the "lepak corner")! And they have mosquito nets around our beds so i guess it's still okay :D
p/s: the resort manager was really friendly and nice! Due to the fact that tigerairways actually postponed our flight from Saturday to Sunday, we had to look for accomodation for an extra day and he was super nice telling us that although the room isn't avail anymore, he'll find a way. So nice!!! Really like him ^^
