Breko + Sunday Folks

Hello! This post came 10 days late because i've been busy with assignments (since when am I not right, sigh) and finally found the time to do up this post.

It was a Sunday afternoon, Le and I met at Holland V at around 2pm and walked around to look for a place to have lunch. We found mu parlour and I was pretty excited to give it a try but the shop seemed pretty quiet, with only one person serving and only a few dishes, which weren't exactly enticing, available.
We ended up at Breko which was a short walk away from mu parlour and right beside EWF!

The cafe wasn't too dark nor too brightly lit, so no worries for all you instagrammers! He order the Double Fish Burger while I got for myself a plate of Chicken Corden Bleu with tomyam pasta salad and baked potato as my sides.

The food wasn't exactly fantastic but it was definitely worth the price because of the portion. My chicken was a lil bit towards the dry side and his fish had too little flesh in relation to the crust. The tomyum pasta salad, on the contrary, was taaaaaasty! I might even try cooking some for myself one day.

After lunch, before roaming around and taking photos, we headed to Sunday Folks to get our queue number. There was a long queue even at 4+!

Having had that huge of a portion for lunch, we settled for a single layer of waffle with earl grey soft serve.
Not gonna lie but I was really disappointed with the waffle and soft serve especially after all the hype. Not to mention the Earl Grey Lavender soft serve which was known to be one of the better ice cream flavours. Maybe due to the fact that the cafe I work at serves pretty good waffles, my standards are pretty high. Nevertheless, I expected more than just a plate of insta-worthy dessert.
Better luck next time.

Thanks for reading! x.
