Beijing // Day 4 - Chaoyang Park, my favourite day ♥

Good evening! I just realised I haven’t written about my Day 4. It’s been quite a while since then so I might not be able to remember much HAHA. Anyway, Day 4 was a Sunday so we decided to visit a less populated area of Beijing and, by recommendation from out aunt, we headed down to Chaoyang Park at roughly 2pm! The activities available at Chaoyang Park, in a nutshell, are like Marina Barrage + East Coast Park + USS (of course the rides are not as great)!

The entrance of Chaoyang Park was coloured with rainbow kites, bird-shaped kites, and many other huge beautiful kites. I heard from Sean that he overheard the prices of the kites and he told me that it wasn’t at all costly for such a huge kite so I reckon Chaoyang Park would be a really great place to fly your kite whether tourist or local.
Upon entering the park, we were welcomed with a pleasing sight of many cute lil’ kids fishing to our left and a gorgeous sight of a large field of people flying their kites to our right! We roamed around for a while looking at cute kids and happy families everywhere. Lovely sight, really :’) In addition to that, we took one of the rides there too! It was craaaaazy we would go upwards while spinning around really quickly hurhur.

 Kids fishing!

So lovely to see even handicap people visiting Chaoyang park!

 LOLOL the toilet

After the ride, we walked through the park to meet our aunt at Chao Yuan Collection to visit her favourite tea shop! Over at the tea shop, they allow us to try as much tea as we’d like and gladly taught us more about the arts of brewing tea. I really learnt so much about tea there! In a blink of an eye, we spent 2-3 hours there and left with a few different kinds of tea. The lady also gave us a bag of the snacks we were snacking on while trying to tea. So sweet of her!

Next up was dinner! We cabbed down to a hotpot restaurant and boy did we eat. The food here was much better than all the other hotpots I’ve had to far. I tried brown rice tea as well and well, I didn’t really like it hahaha oops. After dinner, home it was.

Day 4 was a really short but fulfilling day. In fact, it’s one of my favourite days here! Yey.
Thanks for reading guys :*
