Officially done with studying for my DBMS paper! Although I don't actually feel fully prepared for it cause they only gave 2 practice papers for us to do :<
Anyways, I went to Cedele for lunch recently and it was rather good!
Went down at around tea time with Changhui and we were glad that we didn't have to wait for a seat. I called them beforehand just in case and they told me they didn't do reservations for two but we could easily get a seat, walk-in, which gladly wasn't a lie. The restaurant was dimly lit and I initially thought that it would be better to sit by the window but then I realised that almost every table had a spotlight! So it wasn't too dark after all. YAY.
We ordered a Big Breakfast and a Bread Biscuit with Sausage and Poached Eggs (I changed the eggs to scrambled eggs). The Big Breakfast came with either coffee or tea and it indeed was B I G. Mine was rather small, especially beside his huge plate, but it turned out to be rather filling!
I loved my dish I would most definitely go back for it again! The bread biscuit was a little crispy on the outside and reaaally soft on the inside *0* the mushroom sauce they gave was also delicious. The Big Breakfast, however, was quite a disappointment. The bacon was too salty and too hard, the bread was a little tough, but I loved how the skin had sesame seeds on it, and everything else on the plate just tasted fairly normal. We also order Earl Grey Lavender Tea which I had high hopes on but turned out a little dry :( ohwell~ Lastly, we got a Very Berry Cheesecake which was not as great as it looked. Sadly. I disliked how the entire cake was TOO soft and that the base was sponge-y so the entire cake was technically UNBITEABLE. LOL.
Service wise, the waiters and waitresses in general were fairly nice and our food came pretty quick. The dessert, however, took quite awhile because the lady forgot our's hahaha. Despite that i'm still quite satisfied with the service because occasional blunders are inevitable (i hope she doesn't forget anyone else's order!) and despite being reaaaally hungry, the wait for my food didn't feel long at all.
Thanks for reading! :)
